Coming Up » 'ELEVEN' James Lawrence & Art Of This World <b>'ELEVEN' James Lawrence & Art Of This World<b>

James Lawrence and Art Of This World are celebrating eleven years together with an exhibition titled ELEVEN from 4-17th September.

View eleven of James' most energetic and vibrant paintings including the rarely seen large-scale painting ‘Eagle Eye Circus’ measuring a massive 3 x 2 metres. “I love painting on such a hefty scale, it really lends weight to the meaning, texture and life of the work. To walk past a painting and experience it physically is something that can’t be reproduced”.

Artist, printmaker and teacher James Lawrence has been painting large-scale abstract works for close to 40 years. “I enjoy energy, movement and colour. My paintings are a rhythmic combination of feeling and thought combined with formal considerations. I can’t think of anything I’d rather be doing.”

Don't miss the Artist Talk with James on Monday 6th September from 2-3pm, titled 'Painting to Monoprinting', this talk is a wonderful opportunity to meet the artist, discuss his career and latest exhibition.
